WOUTER ELSEN
Wouter Elsen is a freelance videojournalist and photographer. He has been traveling all around the world and is fascinated by people and their stories. Most of the time he carries a camera with him.
Wouter has lived in Burkina Faso for a while and has made several documentaries on the African continent, working for international news organizations, NGO's and the UNHCR.
It started out with the gruesome terrorist attack in Ouagadougou which he covered for European Pressphoto Agency. Later on he worked on different projects for the UNHCR. This offered him the opportunity to work with the Touareg refugees in the camps in northern Burkina Faso, an area that isn’t always easy to cover due to regional security threats.
