VIKTORIA MARINOVA

Viktoria Marinova is a photojournalist from Sofia, Bulgaria. At age 9, she moved to the city of Antwerp in Belgium, which opened her eyes to the richness of other cultures and deepened her understanding of the world. Yet, her heart remains tied to Bulgaria.

At 15, she bought her first camera, and so a storyteller was born. That camera became her tool for capturing the emotions, struggles, and resilience of people. Today, as a photojournalist with a nomadic spirit, she dedicates herself to documenting the untold stories of those whose voices often go unheard. Viktoria has worked at the foreign desk of a prominent Belgian newspaper, where she covered international affairs, conducted in-depth research, and reported on breaking news.

She currently focuses on her visual skills to document and tell stories that matter and that provide an answer to some of life’s most pressing questions.

Additionally, she enjoys learning new languages in her free time and is currently proficient in Bulgarian, English, Dutch, French, German, Spanish and Turkish.

Through her lens, she aims to make an impact, one story at a time.
