Taxi Filippino tells the story of a roadtrip through the Cordillera, a mountain region in the North of the Philippines. From the summercapital Baguio to the province of Kalinga, the taxi passes by slums, schools and mining companies, mountain villages and military camps. Corruption is everywhere. More than thousand people fell victim to political assasination under the regime of president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. Hundreds of others disappeared. And still Filippino's have the courage to go on.
